The Junior Olympics

The Junior Olympics is an exciting festival and national championship tournament that marks the culmination of the summer season. It provides a fantastic opportunity for our teams to showcase their growth and achievements throughout the year. Teams must qualify through our Regional Junior Olympic Qualifier in San Diego. The Junior Olympics consists of two sessions: Session 1 includes the boy teams, and Session 2 includes the girls, 10U coed, and 12U coed teams.

Participating in the Junior Olympics requires athletes to submit a deposit. Coaches will then finalize rosters by May 15th. Rosters for the Regional Junior Olympics will be submitted to USA Water Polo by specific lock-down dates, which are 15 days before the qualifiers. Once an athlete is rostered and the team qualifies, they must participate with that team at the Junior Olympics (unless you’ve spoken with your coach). No roster changes are permitted after the official submission deadline.

We encourage all athletes to stay in the same hotel for better coordination. Team meals and activities are essential during the tournament, as they promote fun and bonding among teammates, creating lasting memories.

All roster spots are determined by athletes age, confirmed availability, readiness to compete within the team, competitive tournament level alignment, and are invite only.

Roster spots are subject to change throughout the course of the season.

All tournament rosters will be announced 24 hours before the first game at the latest before scheduled events.
